Will reopen ‘fake’ sanction letters case against MP Raj Kumar: Bajwa
Leader of Opposition Partap Singh Bajwa once again attacked Hoshiarpur MP Raj Kumar Chabbewal saying that he would get the case regarding the alleged issuance of fake sanction letters of Punjab Nirman Scheme reopened against him when the Congress would return to power.
Bajwa said this on the sidelines of a rally at Kot Fatuhi village, which was organised in favour of Ranjit Kumar, the party candidate for the Chabbewal bypoll.
The Hoshiarpur MP, who was the Congress MLA, had quit the party to contest the Lok Sabha poll on the Aam Aadmi Party ticket. His son Ishank Kumar is now contesting the bypoll on the seat he had vacated.
In response to Chabbewal’s statement that all 4,601 persons, who had been issued the letters, had got the roofs of their houses reconstructed, the LoP said, “Not just the MP, we shall make Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann a co-accused in the case. Chabbewal knew that he was being embroiled by the Vigilance Bureau. He had already applied for an anticipatory bail. He had joined AAP allegedly on a condition that all people whom the letters had been issued should become legal beneficiaries so that he could be absolved in the case.”
