The parking of heavy vehicles, such as trailer trucks, along roadsides has become a significant hazard, posing a risk of accidents and obstructing the flow of traffic on major routes. Problematic areas include the service lane of National Highway-19, the Bata-Hardware Chowk road, the Faridabad-Gurugram road and various industrial sectors, including Sectors 58 and 59. Poor lighting at night further increases the risk of accidents, as these parked vehicles are difficult to see in the darkness. The traffic police should implement a long-term plan to effectively address this issue.

Govt vehicles without proper registration plates

Many commercial vehicles belonging to government agencies, such as municipal authorities and the Public Works Department (PWD), often operate without proper registration plates. This lack of identification makes it challenging to issue fines or hold these vehicles accountable when they violate traffic rules or are involved in accidents. The traffic police should immediately look into the matter and ensure that appropriate action is taken to impound any such vehicles found operating on busy roads. Ramesh Gupta, Gurugram
