The hillside of the road from Grand Hotel to Kali Bari Temple is full of plastic water bottles, paper cups and plates, polythene bags and other waste. No doubt the contributors to this filth are the small roadside eateries, their customers and the vendors selling pooja items. For creating awareness about cleanliness here, some NGO should come forward to clean the area. If not, the MC should clear it as it gives an extremely bad impression of our city to the large number of devotees who come here daily. The MC should also advise the shopkeepers to observe cleanliness without fail.
