What our readers say: Expedite railway track repairs in Kangra
A few months ago, the Railways had started two trains between Nurpur and Baijnath. But the train services from Nurpur to Kangra have been discontinued again due to the slow pace of work being done by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). It has failed to repair the damaged railway track near the Bathu railway bridge in Ranital, delaying the reopening of the route. This disruption has left many areas without accessible transportation. The NHAI should complete repairs at the earliest. Satish Sharma, Panchrukhi
Intoxicated bus drivers
Several HRTC (Himachal Road Transport Corporation) bus drivers are driving buses under the influence of alcohol. At night, most of the drivers are partially intoxicated, putting the passengers’ lives at risk. The corporation must take immediate steps to keep a vigil on bus drivers to avert mishaps.
