What our readers say: Electricity poles sans lights
There are no lights on the electricity poles bearing Nos 3, 4 and 19 situated on the main dividing road of Sector 11 and 12 in Panchkula. Such a scenario can hardly be expected in a city like Panchkula. One earnestly hopes that the electricity wing of the local civic body will soon do the needful for the safety of residents and commuters.

Kaithal roads full of potholes
Following the recent spell of rain, potholes have formed on the city roads, due to which residents and stray animals are the worst sufferers. Long traffic jams are also witnessed during rain and subsequent waterlogging. The absence of traffic police personnel aggravates the problem. The authorities concerned should take concrete action.

Poor sewerage A bane of residents
The recent spell of rain has again exposed the poor sewerage system of Rohtak. Choked sewer lines and overflowing sewage cause grave inconvenience to the residents. The local Municipal authorities should take note and take immediate action.
