What our readers say: Congestion on Sirsa roads
Sirsa city’s parking system is worsening by the day, with markets swamped by vehicles during peak hours. Despite the steady rise in the number of vehicles, the authorities have failed to enhance infrastructure at the same pace. The district administration is yet to draft a concrete plan to address heavy traffic in congested areas. A systematic approach to tackle parking issues and traffic jams is essential to bring relief to commuters on the city’s busy roads.

Vehicles parked on roads irk commuters
THE lack of parking space has become a major problem in Yamunanagar city. Thus, a number of people park their vehicles haphazardly on already congested roads, which leads to frequent traffic jams. The Municipal Corporation should create more parking facilities.
Gulshan Kumar, Yamunanagar
Rampant violation of lane-driving norms
The police has been continuously issuing challans for violations regarding lane change on the Delhi-Ambala National Highway, yet heavy vehicle drivers can be seen violating the lane-driving norms. It causes inconvenience to small vehicle drivers and can even lead to mishaps. The government should take strict action against such drivers.
