What our readers say: Danger of getting electrocuted looms large

Last Sunday, due to the sudden uprooting of an electricity pole in our fields in Karnal city, the meter box of our tubewell connection bearing number K-34, vide account number 5979881000, was damaged. Electricity wires came out of the box due to which there was a danger of someone getting electrocuted any time. Despite lodging a complaint, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) Limited did not repair the box or re-install the uprooted pole. The nigam must remove the meter buried under the electricity pole and install it in a new box on the pole or tubewell room wall at the earliest to prevent any untoward incident. Shakti Singh, Karnal
