Last Sunday, due to the sudden uprooting of an electricity pole in our fields in Karnal city, the meter box of our tubewell connection bearing number K-34, vide account number 5979881000, was damaged. Electricity wires came out of the box due to which there was a danger of someone getting electrocuted any time. Despite lodging a complaint, Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN) Limited did not repair the box or re-install the uprooted pole. The nigam must remove the meter buried under the electricity pole and install it in a new box on the pole or tubewell room wall at the earliest to prevent any untoward incident.
