The week-long Impressions & Expressions-HC Rai Memorial ArtFest is set to commence tomorrow at the historic Gaiety Theatre. This year’s edition of the ArtFest, led by National School of Drama (NSD) alumni Amala Rai, HC Rai’s daughter, will feature a range of artists, including Government Art College alumni.

The fest, which is being organised by Abhivyakti with the support of state Department of Language & Culture, will feature works of several renowned artists, including HC Rai, Him Chatterjee, Ranjan Mallik, Kewal Krishna Kamra, Jagjit Singh, Aditya Singh Thakur and Danny Balbir Singh.

Addressing the media today, Rai said building on the success of the previous year’s festival, this year’s event aimed to bring together veteran artists, professors and young talent to create a unique artistic experience for all. “This year, the festival will feature HC Rai, a respected figure in the Indian art community. As the founding principal of Himachal’s first Government Art College in Nahan, his work continues to inspire artists” she added.
