Dr VK Dumka and Dr MK Lonare from Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University, were bestowed with the ‘Best Editor-in-Chief (Toxicology International) awards’ at the International Conference on Current Trends in Toxicology, 2024, and 43rd Annual Meeting of Society of Toxicology, India, held at Lovely Professional University (LPU) for their contribution to publishing the journal for the last ten years.

Veterinary university VC Dr Jatinder Paul Singh Gill was the chief guest.

Dr Gill said this conference was an endeavour to bring eminent scientists from various disciplines on a common platform to exchange ideas and deliberate on issues related to health and environment. He said this was a unique occasion when eminent scientists from leading institutes have gathered to find a solution to the most challenging global problem.

He emphasised that the challenge is to identify ways to monitor chemicals in the environment.
