The Directorate of Human Resource Management Centre collaborated with the Department of Livestock Production Management at Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University to organise a lecture by Dr Ankit Gulia, DM Cardiology Hero Heart, at DMC in Ludhiana on the eve of World Heart Day. The lecture was organised about heart health under Mission Swasth Kawach. The faculty, staff and students of the university attended the programme.

The organising chairman of the programme, Dr LD Singla, spoke about the importance of regular health check-ups, as detecting heart issues early may lead to effective treatment.

Dr Rohit Tandon spoke about the importance of heart health, as many cardiovascular diseases are preventable through lifestyle changes.

Dr Ankit Gulia spoke about the causes, symptoms, and line of treatment regarding heart diseases and asked participants to make healthy choices. He said a balanced diet, regular physical activity, no smoking and alcohol consumption lead to a reduced risk of heart disease.
