VB observes awareness week
In connection with the Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28 to November 3, the Vigilance Bureau Ludhiana today carried out various awareness activities in Ludhiana and made the residents aware of the purpose behind the week.
DSP Vigilance Range Shivchand also held an awareness camp at Government Senior Secondary School, Jawahar Nagar, where a painting competition was organised. More than 20 students of various classes participated in the painting competition. They made slogans regarding corruption abuse. Also prizes were distributed to the winners.
Meanwhile, DSP Vinod Kumar held a meeting with newly-elected sarpanches, panches and villagers at Jagraon and motivated them to stand against corruption in government departments.
Senior Superintendent of Police Vigilance Bureau Ravinderpal Singh Sandhu said various awareness activities were being organised in this week. Even posters are being pasted at public places around the government offices.
