VB holds seminar, calls upon aam aadmi to fight against corruption
The Vigilance Bureau here organised a seminar at the Block Development and Panchayat Office (BDPO) in Sultanpur Lodhi. It was a part of ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ observed from October 28 to November 3.
Speakers emphasised on the participation of the common man in the fight against corruption by the Punjab government and said that people need to play an active role to eradicate this social ill.
DSP, Vigilance Bureau, Kapurthala, Jatinderjit Singh, said people were being informed about the negative effects of corruption and efforts being made to prevent bribery.
He said people can give information on the anti-corruption helpline number 95012-00200 and their identity would be kept confidential. Pamphlets were also distributed on the occasion for awareness.
