Uttar Pradesh teenager found hanging in Dhandari

A teenager died under suspicious circumstances as his body was found hanging from a ceiling fan at his room in Makkar Colony, Dhandari.

The matter came to light when the elder brother of the deceased returned home from his workplace late in the evening. He entered the room after seeing the door open. There he saw that his younger brother was hanging from the fan with a sheet tied to it. The elder brother raised the alarm and informed the people of the area. Following which, the residents informed the police.

The deceased was identified as 15-year-old Sachin Kumar, a native of UP, His brother Suraj said his younger brother Sachin had come to Ludhiana about three years ago from Uttar Pradesh for employment. He works at a bicycle parts manufacturing factory in the Dhandari area here. When he returned home from work on Friday evening, he saw the victim hanging from the ceiling fan.

Investigating officer head constable Rajinder Singh of the Kanganwal police post said investigation in the case was on.
