Two teenage girls abducted, 3 booked
Two teenage girls were abducted from two different places on Wednesday. The police have booked three persons in this regard in two different cases. The Patti Sadar police informed that Roshanpreet Singh and his brother Lovepreet Singh, residents of Kullha village, abducted a teenage girl from a nearby village a week back at night on the pretext of marrying her.
ASI Kulwinder Singh of Patti Sadar police said that the accused have been booked under Section 137(2), 87 and 60 of the BNS on Wednesday.
In the other case, Amrit Singh, a resident of Gujarpura village of Amritsar district, abducted a teenage girl from the Chabal area on October 27. The victim’s father said that the family members were away at work and when they returned home in the evening, they found that the accused had abducted the girl by luring her to marry him. The accused has been booked under Section 137 (2) and 96 of the BNS.
