Two nabbed with 15 stolen two-wheelers in Malerkotla
The police claimed to have busted a gang of miscreants involved in stealing two-wheelers and further selling them on the basis of fake documents.
The accused have been identified as Jacob Masih of Karam Colony, Amargarh, and Lovpreet Singh Lovely of Dasmesh Nagar in Sangrur. A total of 15 two-wheelers had been recovered from the accused who were on their way to sell a stolen motorcycle on the Adampal-Malerkotla road.
SSP Malerkotla Gagan Ajit Singh said cops led by DSP (D) Satish Kumar and CIA Mahorana incharge Harjinder Singh had nabbed a gang involved in stealing two-wheelers and selling these on the basis of forged papers.
“After receiving information that the accused be heading towards Malerkotla to sell a stolen motorcycle, the CIA laid a naka on the Adampal-Malerkotla road and nabbed them,” said the SSP, adding that 14 motorcycles and a scooter had been recovered from their possession.
The SSP added that they would identify the remaining accused at earliest.
