Two killed in accidents

A man was killed and two women were injured as a car and a bike collided near Sounda village. The deceased has been identified as Hardeep Singh.

Parvinder Singh of Ghullumajra village reported that his relative Hardeep Singh, along with Harmanjot Kaur and Gagandeep Kaur, was going somewhere on his bike. As they reached near Sounda village, a speeding car hit the bike. Hardeep and the two women were rushed to the Civil Hospital where the doctors declared the former dead on arrival. Gagandeep was referred to a government hospital in Chandigarh.

ASI Jasmer Singh of the Sirhind police station said the police had registered a case against the car driver.

In another accident, 29-year-old Narain Singh of Attapur village was killed as the bike he was riding was hit by a combine near Chanarthal Khurd village.

ASI Dilbagh Singh of the Mullepur police station said Harpreet Singh, a cousin of the deceased, had lodged a complaint with the police. The police have registered a case against the combine driver.
