Two killed, 1 injured in separate road accidents

Fatehgarh Sahib, February 15

Two persons died and one was injured in two separate road accidents in the district today. Sub-Inspector Harjeet Singh of Bassi Pathana police said Avtar Singh, a resident of Hariyon Kalan village, told the police that his brother Prabhjot Singh, along with Kuldeep Singh, was travelling from Bassi Pathana to Fatehgarh Sahib on his bike, when an unknown car hit the vehicle.

Kuldeep Singh died, whereas Prabhjot Singh was seriously injured and was brought to Fatehgarh Sahib Civil Hospital. After first-aid, he was referred to Government Hospital in Chandigarh.

In another case, an unidentified car hit an elderly man, his wife and daughter, who were riding a scooter near Khant village on the Ludhiana-Chandigarh main road. Sanghol police in-charge ASI Daljit Singh said Bahadur Singh, a resident of Jujhar Nagar (Sanghol) was seriously injured, and was rushed to a hospital in Mohali, where the doctors declared him brought dead. The police have registered a case against the unknown drivers in both the cases.
