Two houses burgled
Two house thefts were reported in the city. Dr Amir Arora, who is employed with the PGI, reported that gold jewellery and Rs 25,000 were stolen from his house in Sector 11 on December 17 night. A case has been registered at the Sector 11 police station. In the other incident, thieves targeted the Sector 10 house of Harjot Singh and made off with about Rs 5 lakh. A case has been registered at the Sector 3 police station.
Vehicle thief arrested
A man has been arrested by the police for stealing a vehicle of the MC. Kuldeep Singh had reported that he had gone to Industrial Area, Phase II, to get a vehicle repaired when someone stole it. He chased the thief and intercepted him at the Sector 42/43/52/53 chowk. The accused, Anand Kumar was caught and handed over to the police.
