Amritsar, July 6

The Amritsar (Rural) police have arrested two drug peddlers identified as Sajanbir Singh and Baldev Singh, both residents of Dande village and recovered 2.5kg of opium from them. The police said the peddlers were travelling in a car when they were intercepted following a tip-off. During search, opium was recovered from them, the police said.

A case was registered against the two suspects, said SSP Satinder Singh.
