Two held for murdering man in Samalkha

The Panipat police have arrested two accused from near Garhi Chhaju turn on Bhapra Road on Saturday, who were allegedly involved in the murder case of a-36-year-old man of Chulkana village in Samalkha, six days ago.

The accused was produced in court on Sunday and the court sent them to three days police remand.

Inspector Phool Kumar, in-charge, CIA-2 unit, said the accused were identified as Sonu and Sunny of Chulkana village.

Praveen of Chulkana village, cousin of deceased Lal Chand, in his complaint to the Samalkha police that Lal Chand along with two friends Anshu and Shubham were on their way home after duty at a factory on November 18. As they reached Kiwana turn, Sonu and Sunny with their two-three associates stabbed Lal Chand to death. He took him to a private hospital but the doctors declared him dead.

Following the complaint, the police registered a case under various sections of the IPC and began a probe in the matter.

Inspector Phool Kumar said accused Sonu and Sunny admitted their involvement in Lal Chand’ murder and revealed that they along with Sonu, alias Baga of Chulkana, and Aman, alias Bhim of Patti Kalyana, had murdered Lal Chand.

During the preliminary investigation, Sonu said Lal Chand, alias Dhola, had quarrelled with him several times on some issues and keeping enmity in mind he along with his three associates – Sunny, Sonu and Aman stabbed Lal Chand to death, the CIA Inspector added.

Inspector Kumar further said both accused had been produced in the court on Sunday and the court sent them to three days police remand.

Apart from this, the CIA-2 team arrested two more accused Sonu and Aman on Saturday under the Arms Act and both accused were on two days police remand, Inspector Phool Kumar said.
