Two held for holding man hostage, transferring money via mobile app
The Gurugram Police arrested two persons for holding a man hostage at gunpoint and transferring money to their bank account through a mobile payment app. The police also recovered a country-made pistol, one live cartridge, one bike and Rs 1,000 from their possession.
According to the police, a person filed a complaint stating that two bike-borne miscreants stopped him on the Pataudi-Rewari road on Wednesday. They held him hostage at the gunpoint and transferred money to their bank account through a mobile payment app. The suspects fled the spot after committing the crime. A case in this regard was registered at the Pataudi police station.
During investigation, the Pataudi police arrested both suspects from near the Rewari road bypass on Thursday. The duo have been identified as Kuldeep, a resident of Bewal village, and Harsh, a resident of Janjadiyawas in Mahendergarh district.
“A bike, an illegal pistol, a cartridge and Rs 1,000 in cash were recovered from their possession,” said a spokesperson for the Gurugram police.
Meanwhile, the police arrested a person for robbing a Rapido bike rider of his motorcycle bike and a mobile phone. The police also recovered the stolen mobile phone from his possession. The suspect has been identified as Ayush Bharti, a native of Amar colony, East Gokalpur in Delhi. Further investigations were on.
