Two dead, minor injured in road mishap

A 26-years-old man and his father (52) were killed, while a two-years-old sustained injuries, after their two-wheeler met with an accident on Tuesday evening.

The police have registered a case, but no arrest has been made so far. According to the police, the victims — Aslam, his father Khurshid and daughter Shifa (2) — were heading for Chhaprola village, when a speeding car hit their motorcycle at Kalwaka crossing near Jaindapur village. While Aslam and his father succumbed to their injuries, the minor is undergoing treatment at the hospital.

Khurshid’s brother Sattar told the police that the car driver stopped at some distance to see the impact of the accident and fled before the locals assembled at the spot. With a case registered, hunt to nab the accused was on, said a police official.
