Two day district-level table tennis tourney concludes in Shimla
The two-day district-level table tennis championship held at the Indira Gandhi State Sports Complex concluded. In the men’s final, Himanshu Sharma defeated Aryan Kaundal with scores of 4-11, 11-5, 11-8 and 11-9 to claim the title, while Navedyam and Jyotiraditya secured the third position.
In the women’s category, Tanisha Sharma triumphed over Dishita Narang to win the tournament, while Urvashi and Pranika Kaushik shared the third spot.
In the boys U-15 final, Yug Thakur emerged victorious against Navedyam, while Ayaan and Tanay Rawat bagged the third place. In the girls U-15 final, Aratrika defeated Aadvika Kaushik, with Aadhya Dwivedi and Arshiya Mahajan finishing third.
The veterans category saw Himanshu Sharma claiming the title by defeating Manu Sharma, with Samar Sen and Mukesh Sharma emerging third. In the U-19 boys category final, Atharv Verma bested Jyotiraditya, while Yug Thakur and Advay Bramta secured the third spot. In the girls U-19 final, Dishita Narang prevailed over Tanisha Sharma, with Aratrika and Urvashi finishing third.
In the boys U-17 final, Tanay Rawat defeated Navedyam to claim the title, while Yug and Atharv took the third place. In the girls U-17 final, Dishita Narang triumphed over Pranika Kaushik, with Arshiya Mahajan and Aratrika finishing third.
The winners were felicitated with trophies and certificates. The selected players will now participate in the state-level championship.
