Two brothers lost their lives, and their two friends sustained serious injuries when the car they were travelling in collided with a parked dumper on the Faridabad-Gurugram road in the early hours of today.

The injured are currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Faridabad. The dumper driver fled the scene with his vehicle following the collision, and an FIR has been registered at the DLF Phase 1 police station.

The victims were identified as Rahul (30) and his younger brother Kuldeep (26), both residents of SGM Nagar, Faridabad. Their injured friends, Rajat (24) and Satender (29), are residents of AC Nagar, Faridabad. The incident occurred around 2.30 am, about 100 m from the Gurugram-Faridabad toll plaza.

Rahul was reportedly driving the Volkswagen Polo when it collided with a garbage-loaded dumper parked near Gwal Pahari.

Upon receiving information, the police promptly arrived at the scene, and all four were taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared two of them dead. The bodies were sent for a postmortem, and their family was informed. The brothers ran a children’s clothing shop in Faridabad’s NIT area, and Rahul was married.

Based on the complaint of injured Rajat, an FIR has been filed against the unidentified dumper driver under Sections 106, 281, 125(a) & (b) and 324(5) of the BNS Act at the DLF Phase 1 police station. “We have handed over the bodies to the family after a postmortem, and the driver responsible will be arrested soon,” said Sub-Inspector Balram, the investigating officer.

In a separate incident in the Bilaspur area, a youth riding a motorcycle was fatally struck by a speeding canter.

According to a complaint filed by Dharmendra, an autorickshaw driver and resident of Kalwadi village, the accident took place around 8.30 pm on Thursday. Rahul, the biker and resident of Kalwadi, was travelling ahead of Dharmendra’s auto when a high-speed canter, coming from the Tauru side, struck his bike.

Dharmendra, along with bystanders, rushed Rahul to the hospital in his auto, but he was declared dead upon arrival. The police have registered a case against the canter driver and handed over the body to Rahul’s family after postmortem.
