Two arrested from Jharkhand, Punjab in Palwal drugs case
The local police have arrested two persons who were wanted in connection with running a smuggling racket of narcotics that surfaced in the district in June.
The police had recovered poppy husk worth around Rs 50 lakh from a truck and arrested the driver, about four months ago. He had revealed that the masterminds of the supply racket were based in Punjab and Jharkhand.
He said working on the inputs provided by the accused Gursharan and Pappu, who had been arrested earlier, the police raided the hideouts and arrested the other two accused, identified as Sinderpal from Sangrur in Punjab and Manoranjan Yadav, a resident hailing from Jharkhand, on October 14. He said both the accused were reported to be the main sources of supply of the banned narcotic.
