The Panchkula police today claimed to have arrested two individuals accused of snatching a mobile phone. Those arrested have been identified as Ashok (20), a resident of Bareilly in Uttar Pradesh, who lives as a tenant at Naggal village here, and Dev (19), a resident of Bijnor district in UP, who lives at Mandi village in Panchkula.

The police said victim Sudesh Kumar, a resident of Sector 26, had lodged a complaint that three motorcycle-borne youths snatched his mobile phone and sped away while he walking in Sector 27.

After receipt of information, The police department arrested two individuals for the crime. A search of one of them led to the recovery of a mobile phone. A case was registered against them at the Chandimandir police station. They were produced before a local court that sent them in two-day police remand.
