Chandigarh, September 3

Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec, who became a global sensation after winning a silver medal at the Paris Olympic Games, has now reportedly filed to trademark his viral ‘nonchalant’ stance.

According to multiple media reports, quoting Dikec’s coach Erdinic Bilgili, the pistol shooter has opted for trademark after many, including several sports personalities, tried his stance worldwide.

The application for it was submitted about a week ago after Dikec and his team came across that numerous trademark registration initiatives were carried out without their knowledge, a report by Indian Express states.

The 51-year-old shooter took the internet by storm with his ‘swag’ at the Paris Olympics, which led to a sea of memes being shared across social media platforms.

Known for the extensive gear typically worn by shooters, including specialised glasses and ear-protectors, Dikec brought limited gear to the competition.

The shooter, who participated in his fifth Olympic Games, opted for regular prescription glasses and earplugs, shunning the advanced equipment worn by his competitors. Despite this, Dikec, alongside his partner Sevval Ilayda Tarhan, delivered a stellar performance in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, securing a silver medal.

He was seen casually rolling up to the shooting line, one hand in his pocket, aiming his pistol, and executing precise shots.

The Turkish shooter had also engaged in a banter with Tesla CEO Elon Musk on X.

He dared to ask Musk if in future robots could win medals at the Olympics with their hands in their pockets?

Sharing a photo from the Olympic event, Dikec wrote, “Hi Elon, do you think future robots can win medals at the Olympics with their hands in their pockets? How about discussing this in Istanbul, the cultural capital that unites continents? @elonmusk.”

Musk responded, “Robots will hit the center of the bullseye every time.” The exchange had gone insanely viral on social media.
