Tributes paid to former BJP chief Madan Lal Khurana
A devotional music evening coupled with floral tributes to commemorate the birth anniversary of Madan Lal Khurana, former Delhi BJP president and Chief Minister, was held on Tuesday at the NDMC Convention Centre. BJP National General Secretary (Organisation) BL Santhosh, Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva, and various party officials, who paid their respects to Khurana.
In his address, Santhosh praised Khurana’s contributions, stating, “Madan Lal Khurana was a leader who not only understood Delhi’s challenges but worked tirelessly to solve them. He initiated the construction of several flyovers and proposed the Delhi Metro, which has now become a vital solution to the city’s traffic issues.”
Santhosh added, “Khurana’s legacy inspires us all. If we follow in his footsteps, winning the upcoming assembly elections will not be difficult.”
Delhi BJP President Sachdeva reflected on his experiences with Khurana, saying, “He truly understood the struggles of Delhiites. The Delhi we see today, especially the Metro, is a gift from Khurana. However, the city’s state over the past decade is disheartening—it is not the Delhi envisioned by Khurana or the BJP.”
