The Department of Computer Science at Indira Gandhi National College, Ladwa, organised an expert lecture on ‘Emerging Trends in Computer Science’. Associate Professor Prachi Garg underscored the pivotal role played by computers in the modern age, asserting that they were fundamental to scientific achievements and everyday conveniences. She elaborated on the transformative impact of computer technology, referencing notable advancements such as space exploration and the innovative field of cloud computing. Prof Garg pointed out that many daily tools and applications, such as Google Drive, Facebook and Instagram, utilised cloud computing technology, often without users realising it.
Principal Kushal Pal emphasised the significance of the digital era and the pervasive role of computers across various fields. He said Kurukshetra University had been increasingly integrating computer skills into their curricula to meet the evolving demands of the industry and society.
