It is not every day the tallest and shortest people in the world meet and when such different worlds collide, it is nothing short of magical.

To mark the 20th annual Guinness World Records Day, Jyoti Amge and Rumeysa Gelgi — the shortest and tallest living women — celebrated their first meeting with a delightful afternoon tea at The Savoy Hotel in London. The two women, who hold two of the most iconic and beloved records in the world, were excited to spend a ‘girls' day out’ together.

Their day began with a relaxing morning, where they enjoyed tea and pastries, getting to know each other. Rumeysa, who stands at 215.16 cm (7 ft 0.7 in), is renowned as the tallest woman living. Jyoti, on the other hand, is the shortest woman living, measuring just 62.8 cm (2 ft 0.7 in), a title she has held for over a decade.

Despite the staggering height difference of 152.36 cm (5 feet), the two women quickly became friends, bonding over their shared love of fashion, self-care and life experiences as they sipped traditional English tea.

"Meeting Jyoti for the first time was wonderful," said Rumeysa.
