Chandigarh: The Haryana Police on Monday issued fresh travel advisory for commuters travelling on the Chandigarh-Delhi route in view of the farmers’ protest on Tuesday. The commuters travelling from Chandigarh to Delhi can use Panchkula-Barwala-Saha-Barara-Babain-Ladwa-Pipli-Kurukshetra route. Commuters from Chandigarh to Delhi can also use the the Panchkula-Barwala-Yamunanagar-Ladwa-Indri-Karnal route. The same routes can be used for travelling from Delhi to Chandigarh, an official spokesperson said.

Karnal: Issuing a fresh advisory, SP Shashank Kumar Sawan said those coming from Delhi to Chandigarh should use the Shamli-Saharanpur route via the Karnal-Manglora-Meerut road instead of the Karnal-Chandigarh route. Commuters heading towards Yamunanagar were being diverted from Baldi bypass in Karnal to Indri-Ladwa. Those travelling from Chandigarh could head towards Ladwa from Raipur-Bhadso, and then to Yamunanagar. Small vehicle drivers from Kurukshetra could head towards Ramba from Taraori, and then proceed to Karnal and Panipat.
