In a move aimed at enhancing public safety and road conditions, Sirmaur District Magistrate Sumit Khimta has issued an order temporarily restricting traffic movement along the road heading from Ranital Chowk to Bus Stand Chowk in Nahan for essential road repairs. The restriction would be effective from October 26 to October 28 between 9 am and 1 pm daily.

The repair work on this busy stretch has been scheduled to address the high volume of traffic during the festive season as well as the area’s proximity to residential communities. The district authorities noted that the road witnessed the movement of considerable number of vehicles throughout the day, particularly due to nearby schools and during the festive season.

In consideration of the repair work, all government and private buses that typically travel from the bus stand via Ranital, Gunnughat and Delhi Gate would be diverted through Basti Chowk. This detour has been designed to reduce disruption of commuting by residents while enabling timely completion of the road repair.
