Faridabad, August 31

The police registered a case and wrote to the Transport Department authorities seeking the cancellation of the driving licence (DL) of a local resident after a video of rash driving went viral recently.

A spokesperson of the department said the police had taken up the matter for legal prosecution after revelation that a person, identified as Rajat, a local resident, had allegedly been involved in rash driving on the national highway after he had taken a vehicle from the local Volkswagen showroom on February 25, this year for test driving. The spokesperson said while the driving of the vehicle in a rash and negligent manner could have proved fatal to other commuters, the police have registered a case and recommended the cancellation of his DL.
