To encourage voters, Rahgiri programme organised in Karnal
Aimed at encouraging voters to cast their votes in large numbers, the district administration organised a Rahgiri programme in Karnal city on Sunday with a message of maximum participation in the upcoming Assembly poll.
The programme, which was organised at Committee Chowk, witnessed a large gathering of residents. The ADC, Yash Jaluka, along with other officials attended the event and encouraged the participants, who took part in various activities, including yoga, table tennis, tug-of-war, fencing and volleyball.
The ADC explained that it was a step as per the systematic voters’ education and electoral participation (SVEEP) initiative, which aimed at raising awareness about the importance of voting in the Assembly elections. He said Haryana would go to polls on October 5, urging all eligible voters to actively participate and cast their votes.
Jaluka emphasised the value of democratic rights, saying, “It is our privilege to live in a democratic country where we have the right to vote. Through voting, we elect representatives who will voice our concerns.” He encouraged all eligible voters to step out and vote on October 5. Special appeals were made to women and the youth to ensure a high voter turnout.
