The Ludhiana rural police arrested three smugglers and seized 6,760 intoxicating tablets from them.

Deputy Superintendant of Police, Mullanpur, Varinder Singh Khosa while addressing a press conference stated that on November 19 the SHO of Dakha, Inspector Gurwinder Singh, along with ASI Tarsem Singh, had laid a special naka and nabbed Jaideep Kumar, a resident of Sarabha Nagar, from whom 260 intoxicating capsules were seized.

DSP Khosa revealed that during interrogation, Jaideep took the name of another accused Amandeep Kumar, a resident of Labour Colony here. Following this, Amandeep was arrested and police seized 3,500 capsules from his possession. During interrogation, Amandeep took the name of another accused Vikas Jha, a resident of Ramesh Nagar, Tibba Road, Ludhiana, and seized 3,000 capsules from him.

A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused and further nvestigation launched to bust the entire drug supply line.
