The CIA staff of Punjab Police today claimed to have recovered 60 gm of heroin and Rs 50,000, believed to be drug money, from a car and arrested its all three occupants.

The suspects have been identified as Harshdeep Singh Jassal of Azeemgarh in Abohar, Sharma of Chak 6A village in Sriganganagar and Gur Pratap Singh Sidhu of Nai Abadi in Abohar.

Sub-inspector Milakh Raj said a patrolling team stopped a car, having a registration number of Delhi, near the National Highway-62. The three occupants of the car tried to flee, but were nabbed. The police recovered heroin and cash from the vehicle. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act at the Khuian Sarwar police station.
