Threat calls from jails will be ended, says minister
Cooperation, Tourism and Jail Minister Arvind Sharma has claimed that a lot of improvement has been witnessed in the functioning of jails during the BJP regime in the state and strict action will be taken if any shortcoming is noticed.
“If there is any practice of making threat calls from jails, it will be ended completely. Let me know if anyone gets any lead about threat calls being made from any jail. Stern action will be taken in this regard and we will not let it happen again,” said Sharma in reply to a media query.
The minister was here to attend a religious programme here on Sunday. Launching a scathing attack on the Congress, Sharma advised their leaders to come out of shock and play the role of the Opposition. They should accept the reality that the BJP had formed the government with full mandate for the record third time in the state, he added.
“The Congress leaders made all efforts to spread lies to mislead the people in the Assembly polls, but they failed as the people knew that the BJP was the only party which could ensure overall development of every section of the society. Hence, they voted for the BJP in the Assembly elections,” said Sharma.
In reply to another question, the minister said the government was constantly making efforts to promote tourism in the state. All pending projects pertaining to tourism, including the development of Bhindawas Bird Sanctuary here, would be completed in the stipulated time to take tourism to new heights in the state, he added.
“The state government will speed up development works to meet the people’s expectations. After forming the government, the BJP has started materialising its poll promises by giving government jobs to over 24,000 youths on merit basis,” he added.
In reply to another question, the minister claimed that the BJP was determined to fulfil all its poll promises for the betterment of people.
