A brazen burglary occurred in the Mandeep Nagar area, with unidentified thieves making off with Rs 90 lakh and 150 gm of gold jewellery from a locked house.

House owner Simranjit Singh and his family returned to their house to find their main gate unlocked and almirahs ransacked.

Simranjit, a veterinary student, reported the incident to the PAU police, stating that he resides with his mother, widowed sister, and her two daughters, while his father stays abroad. PAU SHO inspector Rajinderpal Singh confirmed that an FIR was registered and investigators were reviewing the CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the culprits.
