It was on October 7 that the reports of Tata Sons Chairman Ratan Tata’s hospitalisation in a Mumbai hospital came in.

As the social media was flooded with messaged for the veteran industrialist, he wrote a post with a caption "Thank you for thinking of me".

"I am currently undergoing medical check-ups due to my age related medical conditions. There is no cause for concern. I remain in good spirits," he said, requesting public and media to refrain from "spreading misinformation".
