Tewari to head 13-member airport advisory panel

City MP Manish Tewari has been appointed as the chairman of the 13-member Airport Advisory Committee (AAC).

Chandigarh International Airport Limited (CHIAL) today reconstituted the AAC for Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport, Chandigarh.

Anandpur Sahib MP Malwinder Singh Kang has been appointed as co-chairman and SAS Nagar MLA Kulwant Singh as vice-chairman of the committee. CHIAL Chief Executive Officer Ajay Verma is the convener of the committee.

A representative of the Airlines Operators Committee, the Chief Airport Security Officer, the Chandigarh Senior Superintendent of Police and the Deputy Commissioner will be the members of the committee. Besides, there are five nominated members from different backgrounds. They are Ravinder Pal Singh Palli (Trade), HS Lucky (Industry), Gurmail Pehalwan (Travel and Tour, Taxi Association), Pawan Dewan and Chandermukhi Sharma (social and political background).
