Teachers orientation event held

GeoMap Society, in collaboration with Pinnacle Management Consultants LLP and Panjab University (PU), Chandigarh, today organised a GEOTOP (Geo Teachers Orientation Programme) workshop on the subject ‘Mapping and GIS’ (Geographic Information System) for teachers of social studies across tricity.

The event was organised at the PU. The workshop was a precursor to the ‘GeoMap Quiz’ to be held in Chandigarh in December for schoolchildren of all age groups.

In the workshop held today, GMADA Chief Administrator Moneesh Kumar was the chief guest. While addressing the gathering, he exhorted the teachers to make the maximum use of modern-day technology for better teaching.
