A government school teacher has been booked for allegedly sexually harassing a 16-year-old girl on the school campus in the Theog subdivision of Shimla district, the police said here today.

According to reports, after the Class XI student narrated her ordeal to her mother, the latter approached the police to register a complaint against the teacher.

The complainant alleged that on August 28, her daughter was sexually harassed by her teacher in the school. The teacher called her to his cabin in the school where he allegedly sexually harassed her. The mother further alleged that the teacher would often call the girl to his cabin without any particular reason. She alleged that the teacher also used to send obscene texts on WhatsApp to her daughter.
