Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu invites businessmen to invest in Himachal
Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has extended an invitation to Larsen & Toubro (L&T) to explore investment opportunities in Himachal Pradesh. This invitation was made during a meeting with a delegation from L&T, which also presented a cheque of Rs. 3.5 crore to the CM’s Relief Fund.
Expressing gratitude for L&T’s contribution, CM Sukhu emphasised the state government’s vision to transform Himachal Pradesh into a hub for future technologies. He encouraged investment in key sectors, including hydropower, food processing, data storage, solar energy, and tourism.
The CM assured L&T of the government’s full support in implementing their projects and highlighted the state’s new energy policy. This policy includes provisions for power royalties of 12 per cent, 18 per cent, and 30 per cent, as well as the return of power projects to the state after 40 years.
The meeting was attended by Power Secretary Rakesh Kanwar, L&T Board of Director DK Singh, Corporate Head RK Singh, Branch Manager Jaswant Singh, and Deputy General Manager Sachin Rana.
