Sub-Inspector educates students on drug menace
The Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau organised a programme to raise awareness about drug addiction among school students at a government school in Baghola village on Saturday.
Sub-Inspector Dr Ashok Kumar Verma, who is in charge of the drive in the region, stated that as part of a statewide campaign to combat drug addiction, an interactive session was held at the school. He informed the students in detail about the tactics used by drug peddlers, who often target the youth.
Dr Verma shared that he has been conducting the awareness drive by travelling across the region on a bicycle, visiting numerous schools and colleges over the past few months. This session marked the 25th programme in the district. He emphasised the importance of educating students on ways to avoid falling into drug addiction.
Using real-life examples and incidents, he highlighted the dangers posed by drugs and underscored the need for building strong character and willpower to resist such influences.
