With the joint efforts of NSS and Eco Club volunteers, a special tree plantation programme was organised at Government Senior Secondary School, Dholbaha.

The drive was organised under the supervision of Principal Amandeep and the school staff was also present on the occasion. The students were made aware of the importance trees and environmental protection.

To make the initiative successful, the students and teachers worked together. The students were exhorted to make the local community aware, so that they could actively participate in issues pertaining to the environment. This initiative by the school sets an inspiring example, playing an important role in increasing environmental sensitivity.

Besides planting trees, they were also made aware about their protection and maintenance. The programme aimed at promoting awareness and active social participation of the school students towards environmental protection. More such initiatives are also expected soon. Lt Subhash Sharma, Jagjit Singh, Gurbachan Ram, Madam Seema, Navneet Singh, Bahadur Singh and students were also present on the occasion.
