A 22-year-old student of a Delhi-based institute was killed, while his three friends narrowly escaped when their speeding car overturned after it rammed into a divider near the IFFCO Chowk flyover on Monday. The deceased is identified as Adarsh Gangwar (22), a native of Rampur in Uttar Pradesh. He was pursuing an employment course at Frankfinn Institute, Delhi.

The incident took place at around 5:15am when Adarsh and his three friends were returning to Delhi from Gurugram in their car. The speeding car overturned after colliding with a divider near the flyover at the IFFCO chowk. After receiving information, a police team reached the spot and found Adarsh in a critical condition. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

Rohit, Adarsh’s brother, said his brother and his friends including, Vinayak Sharma and Aakash, had come to Gurugram. An FIR was registered at the Sector 18 police station and the vehicle was impounded. “All his friends are missing. It is not clear whether they were injured or not. The car owner is identified as Vinayak Sharma and we are trying to contact him. We handed over the body to kin after the post-mortem”, said ASI Anil Kumar, the Investigating Officer.
