The Moga Deputy Commissioner has warned that anyone attempting to burn paddy straw during Diwali will face severe consequences.
The district and police administrations will closely monitor the situation, taking immediate action against any such incident.
DC-cum-DM Vishesh Sarangal urged farmers not to burn paddy straw, harming the environment and air quality. He appealed to farmers, unions and residents to cooperate with the administration in complying with the Supreme Court’s orders.
