What our readers say: Stray cattle, dogs threat to commuters
Stray cattle and dogs have become a major nuisance in the city these days. Packs of dogs roam around on city roads, while herds of stray cattle have become a major threat to commuters on the main roads. The Municipal Corporation (MC) has failed to control the rising population of the canines in the city. The authorities should address the genuine problem of the residents on a priority basis.

Need to reduce industrial pollution
I wish to draw attention to the escalating pollution levels in our city, which have now reached a critical point. Recently, our city’s Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded the worst in the entire country, a deeply distressing fact. The air has become thick with toxic fumes and one can visibly see the haze that blankets the skyline now. This hazardous environment poses severe health risks, especially to children and the elderly. It is crucial we take immediate steps to reduce vehicular emissions, industrial pollutants and increase green spaces. The situation demands urgent action before we cross the point of no return.
