Strawberry Fields-26, Saupin’s boys win basketball tournament

The girls’ team of Strawberry Field High School, Sector 26, and the boys of Saupin’s School, Sector 32, won the titles in their respective U-17 categories during the concluding day of the 6th Chand Trehan Memorial Basketball Tournament, organised by Holy Child School.

In the boys’ final, the Sector 32 team defeated the hosts 40-27. Apaar Sood shone by scoring 23 points for the winning team. He was also adjudged the ‘Most Voluble Player of the Tournament’. Meanwhile, in the girls’ final, Strawberry School recorded a 25-12 win over St Soldier’s School, with Anika scoring a majority of the points. In the girls’ category, Blue Bird School, Panchkula, claimed the third position by logging a 24-13 win over Gurukul World School, and the Sector 26 team won the third place in the boys’ category by defeating Gurukul World School.
