Punjab has received Rs 1,825.78 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), while Haryana has got Rs 1,673 crore, claimed the BJP while refuting the state government’s claims of discrimination towards the state by the Centre.

Releasing information sought under the Right to Information Act, BJP leader Arvind Khanna said under PMAY, neighbouring Haryana got 5,142 houses sanctioned for the fiscal year 2022-23, whereas Punjab got sanctioned 16,982 houses for the same period.

Targeting the AAP government in Punjab for maligning the BJP-led Centre, Khanna said Punjab had been getting its due share.
